Beautiful Chaos #5

Beautiful Chaos #5 0052_DEV-retouched_DEV.jpg

Catalog number: 2020-006

MEDIUM: Art quilt

DESCRIPTION: My "Beautiful Chaos" series explores chaotic arrangements of shapes and marks that work together to form a visually pleasing whole. As much as I would like my life to be orderly and predictable, nature seems to require a certain amount of chaos for healthy growth and evolution. Embracing this idea of good chaos is an act of acceptance and can be a source of insight and appreciation for things as they are. This work was created in 2020, a year that has truly tested my ability to accept what is so and not struggle to control uncontrollable chaos.
